Dear oologists and colleagues

We are very pleased to have this opportunity to be the host institution of the 5th International Symposium on Dinosaur Eggs and Babies. There details of the meeting are presented below.

During the meeting, we will have a special exhibition about Dinosaur Eggs and Babies in the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, to show the egg fossil with embryo, Dinosaur babies and all types of fossil eggs found in China. In addition, the exhibition leaves room for the new research achievements.

Please contact us with electronic document if you are willing to display your research results, we will make plates in same style. A call for abstracts will begin in early 2012 and probably close around June 1.

Zhejiang Museum of Natural History is one of the few provincial-level museums in natural history in China and also one of the museums with a long history created by Chinese people. Its predecessor, the West Lake Museum, was born out of the first West Lake Exposition in 1929. During the past 80 years, Zhejiang Museum of Natural History has played an active role in protecting natural heritage, popularizing science, conducting academic researches and promoting cultural exchange, and so forth. The new Museum, covering an area of 26,000 square meters, was officially opened to the public for free in July, 2009.

Zhejiang Museum of Natural History located on the center of Hangzhou City , Zhejiang Province. There are some hotels and restaurants near the museum.
There are one lecture room and some meeting room in the museum. It is very convenient for live and meeting. There are above 3000 of dinosaur egg and dinosaur fossils housed in Zhejiang Museum of Nature History.

Weather in Hangzhou in September is warm, sunny and dry. Average temperatures are 20 C.

FIELD TRIPS
> Pre-conference field trip to The Global Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) of the Permian-Triassic.
> Post-conference field trip possibly including:
Tiantai Basin- There are many dinosaur eggs discovered.
Dongyang City- dinosaur , dinosaur egg and dinosaur footprint fossil site.
